Abstract: One of the major applications used in the soil and water systems is to simulate water movement using the HYDRUS-1D model. The current study on Belagavi district examines water movement in soil under various stress conditions. The field capacity, wilting point and saturation point are essential parameters to simulate water movement in soils from the point of irrigation water management. This study uses the field capacity’s soil water content to simulate the water infiltration using Richards’s equation. Changes in pressure head, water content, and water flux are calculated in relation to hydraulic conductivity with depth over various simulation periods.
