Abstract: This research developed a dispersed battery management system to make full and efficient use of battery power. Based on the C8051F040 microcontroller, the system designed the Battery Management Unit and control system, which can effectively gather the battery parameters of battery voltage, current, temperature, and so on in real-time, estimate the battery Sate of Charge, and implement fault diagnosis and alarming based on the battery status. The system uses the 485 bus to connect the modules and the CAN bus to communicate with the car. Finally, this study examined and evaluated the system's operations. The results of the experiments revealed that the system can accurately forecast battery State of Charge and that the current measurement precision meets the practise criteria.
