Abstract
Abstract: The solar heat exchanger is a device or equipment to use for transferring solar energy from one medium to another medium. Different types of heat exchanger were used to utilize maximum solar energy. Many researchers developed the different systems to trap maximum solar radiation and transfer it to different medium for utilizing them. For increasing the transfer rate inside the solar heat exchanger different types of fluid were used having high specific heat and thermal conductivity. Here in this work, it performs the numerical analysis of solar heat exchanger on the basis of geometric and physical boundary condition of experimental analysis performed in base paper. To calculate the effect of different Reynolds number on heat transfer here it considered four different Reynolds numbers that is 500, 900, 1300 and 1700. To increase the performance of simple pipe solar heat exchanger, here in this work it uses different types of ribs inside solar heat exchanger pipe. To analyse the effect of different shapes of ribs on heat transfer, it considered five different shapes of ribs that is circular, square, rectangular, elliptical and triangular shape ribs with same cross sectional area.
