Abstract: Polytechnic College of Botolan is a local college in Botolan, Zambales, it was established in 2009 with program offerings in Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The institution aims in expanding course offerings in IT education. This study aimed to: determine the respondent’s profile and their perceptions on offering Bachelor of Science in Information Systems in Polytechnic College of Botolan, and identify the strength and weaknesses of the institution which involves student demand, strategic management, financial and operational aspects. This study used the descriptive method of research, survey questionnaire to gather data from the respondents which are the eight schools offering Senior High within the Municipality of Botolan, Zambales. The CHED Memorandum Order No. 25 Series of 2015 was used as a guide of the institution as it contains the polices, standards and guidelines for Information Technology Education (ITE) programs- Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The opening of the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems will be offered first in Zambales by Polytechnic College of Botolan. It will provide enrollees a new option for IT Education programs in PCB as well as expand opportunities for the institution to produce graduates that will help address the needs of the emerging industries and technological advancement of establishments and companies in Zambales, nearby provinces and even nationwide.
